Great uses for stale bread!

These are my 5 practical uses for bread thats just too stale to use but a shame to toss out.
Hope you find these useful.

1) Pizza bread
Great for a snack, lunch or even part of a main meal.
What you will need:
Bread
Tomato Puree
Cheese
Optional:
Onion, ham, pineapple, mushroom, left over meats, mixed herbs

Preheat the oven to 180'
Pull out your leftover bread and lay it out in front of you. Smear and spead over a good amount of tomato puree (Like you would spread butter)
Sprinkle over a decent helping of grated cheese. Place on a baking tray.

You can either pop right in the oven or you can add a choice of toppings depending on what leftovers you have in. Pop these in the oven for around 5 mins but keep an eye on them so they dont burn.

2) Breadcrumbs
These can be used right away or frozen for use at a later date.
Take your bread a pop it in the blender until it has become crumbs.
Alternitively, grate the bread with a cheese greater.

These are great mixed with herbs and prices to make your own chicken coating.

3) Garlic bread

Very easy to make and a great side for any dish.
What you will need:
Bread
Butter
Garlic
Optional: Cheese, Parsley
Grab your bread peaces and lay them out infront of you. Cut each piece in half so they are smaller and more managable. Pop to one side. Preheat the
oven to 180'
Chop up  or crush some garlic into fine peices (smaller the better) and add them to a mixing bowl. Take a good chunk of butter and add that in to. Prinkle some parsley in if you have any (dried or fresh) and give it a good mix.
Sprinkle cheese if you would like cheese garlic bread.

Spread it well over your bread pieces and pop in the oven for around 5 mins to crisp.

4) Croutons
Great side with soups and stews, even to just munch on.
What you will need:
Bread
Butter
Salt
Optional: mix herbs, garlic, parmasan cheese

Preheat your oven to 180'
Cut your bread into half an inch cubes. Place evenly over a baking tray and drizzle over warm butter and a pinch of salt.
(Optional: sprinkle herbs, garlic or cheese for flavour)
Place in the oven for about 5mins
Leave to cool. Best served with soups or wet dishes as a side.

5) Stuffing
Perfect to have with a roast dinner or served with portebello mushrooms

What you will need:
Bread
Herby sausages or sausagemeat
Onion

Start by making a batch of bread crumbs and popped them to one side.
Next add sausagemeat loose into a frying pan. Fry until cooked and add chopped onion.
Lastly mix in your breadcrumbs and there you have a pork and onion stuffing.
Once called, roll into stuffing balls and either use then or freeze for a later date.
