The Paper Crane - Wedding Traditions

The Japanese regard the crane as a symbol of good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years. It also represents fidelity, as Japanese cranes are known to mate for life.
It is said if you fold 1000 paper cranes, one for each year of its life, the crane will give you one wish.

It is a tradition for these paper cranes to be used at weddings, not only do they mean everlasting love, but they also can make pretty beautiful table decor, favours and venue decorations.

Here are some examples of how these beauties can be used around your wedding.

So how to actually fold a paper crane?
